The Friends of the Modoc County Library meets at 5:00 p.m. on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
Next meeting: Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the Alturas library.
The purpose of this organization is to support and enhance the Modoc County Library and raise funds for same; to maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries; to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs; and to stimulate gifts of books, magazines, desirable collections, endowments, and bequests.

Membership in the Friends of the Modoc County Library is available at the following levels: $5 Loyal Friend; $10.00 Family of Friends; $15 True Friend; $20 Best Friend; $25 Devoted Friend; Other, Special Friend; $250 Friend for Life. Annual membership extends from January to December. Dues may be mailed to: Friends of the Modoc County Library, 212 W. 3rd St., Alturas, CA 96101. Please include name(s), address, phone number, and e-mail address for each membership. Friends of the Modoc County Library is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, and contributions are tax deductible.
