The Friends of the Modoc County Library meets at 3:00 p.m. on the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Alturas library.

Purposes
The purpose of this organization is to support and enhance the Modoc County Library and raise funds for same; to maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries; to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs; and to stimulate gifts of books, magazines, desirable collections, endowments, and bequests.
